Brent's Birthday

Just wanted to wish my wonderful son, whom I am so proud of and so blessed to call mine, a happy birthday tomorrow. He will be 24!! He is currently in the Air Force and training at Shepphard Field, TX. He was unable to come home so I am sending him some cake balls with his fiancee, Kirsten tomorrow. As a little boy, his heroes were the Ninja Turtles, in fact, they still may be! This is a scanned photo of his birthday...

and a couple of him now...

and with his good friend....Burke...

This week I wanted to try out my softbox and flash for some OCF (Off Camera Flash)... This sweet young lady helped me out... as well as my "helper"..photos of her to come...

Beginnings

... first blog..
I decided to set up a blog for fun and for letting others know what is happening with my photography and my life.
... about In His Image Photography...
I've always enjoyed taking photographs and in 2006, my husband, Johnny, bought me my first dslr ... and I have enjoyed photography and learning about the world of digital photography thoroughly! I began taking photographs professionally in 2008 by shooting several weddings, seniors and sports photography. I shoot on-location primarily because I work as a full time high school counselor and don't have a studio. I currently use a Canon 50D and I am learning all about OCF.. off camera flash... as well as studio lighting because I have a darling new granddaughter that I take photographs of as often as I can; as well as a new born beautiful niece! (which I'm sure will show up on here often)

My favorite type of photography is Senior photography. I love their enthusiasm and their excitement... and the look on their face when they get their portraits back. One senior this year made me laugh when she said, "You make UGLY people beautiful... like me!" She of course is not even close... but her expression was priceless.

Needless to say, God has been good to me and I have been sooo blessed to enjoy His creation thru the viewfinder of my camera and the print of priceless memories.
